The starting point is existing textiles - vintage garments, surplus and other overlooked materials, most selected for their quality natural fibres. Due to their nature, exact fibre composition may not always be available.

The work is made slowly and intentionally. Pieces are developed individually through deconstruction, upcycling and reworking, each one handcrafted in response to the specific material at hand, resulting in one-of-one pieces that are unrepeatable. Some share a similar inspiration or design, but none are the same.

Each piece is individually numbered within a limited studio production.

Occasional irregularities or traces of previous life, if present, are inherent to vintage and existing textiles and are embraced as part of the piece.
